Veronica Mendoza Perez(known by her artist name as Vero Chambray) is a singer-songwriter whose artistry bridges cultures, genres, and generations. Born and raised on the East Coast, Veronica discovered her voice early in life—beginning at age six through school, community programs, and formal out-of-school vocal training at the New Jersey Conservatory, where she studied and performed in choir from ages six through seventeen. These formative years laid a strong musical foundation and later led to her earning a place in the prestigious New Jersey All-State Choir from 2015 to 2017. Together, these experiences shaped her as a vocalist, instilling a deep understanding of harmony, tone, and musical expression.

Music has always been a central part of Veronica’s world. She comes from a multigenerational family of musicians—her brother, father, uncle, and grandfather all share the same musical spark. Surrounded by instruments, rehearsals, and family performances, Veronica grew up with a natural connection to rhythm and melody. This heritage not only influenced her love of music but also helped fuel her versatility as an artist. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Veronica brings a unique duality to her sound. She explores a wide range of genres with ease, including R&B, pop, Latin pop, pop-rock, and jazz. Her voice is known for its emotional clarity and warmth, allowing her to adapt to different styles while maintaining a distinctly authentic presence. Whether performing a soulful ballad or an upbeat bilingual anthem, Veronica captures audiences with her heartfelt delivery and honest storytelling.

Over the years, her musical journey has taken her to stages across New Jersey, New York City, and as far as Port of Spain, Trinidad. Each performance has allowed her to connect with diverse audiences and expand her artistry beyond geographical boundaries. In addition to her vocal talent, Veronica is a visual artist with a passion for illustration and design. She creates her own drawings and often designs her own cover art, seamlessly blending her music and visual identity into one cohesive artistic vision. Her creativity extends far beyond the microphone, showcasing her ability to craft an entire world around her work.
